I am blessed with Tina, my friend and wife of 27 years, and 2 incredible children Rachel and David.
My 'foodie' tendencies presented early. As a little fella I anticipated greatly each spring hunting morels, wild strawberries and black raspberries. I grew up (and seem to be still growing) with great home cooking amidst family and friends.

Curtis is a nursing professor at Indiana University East School of Nursing where he leads nursing students to become involved in community action as leaders both locally, nationally and internationally. Curtis enjoys cooking and traveling with his family. When not teaching or traveling, Curtis works as a nurse practitioner.
Curtis grew up in the area and was a 2001 graduate of Monroe Central. After high school he attended Indiana University in Bloomington and received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology with a Sport Marketing emphasis and a Minor in Business in 2006. With this knowledge he was able to enjoy working for the Louisville Bats, Triple-A team for the Cincinnati Reds, for seven seasons. An opportunity presented itself with Wagner Auctioneering and Real Estate in early 2013 that would allow Curtis to relocate his family back into the area and practice Real Estate full-time. He jumped at the chance and has since experienced great results.
He and his wife have two young children and enjoy spending time together outdoors, in church activities, reading, and time with grandparents.
This will be Curtis' third year as a chef and is excited to be a part of fun!

Throughout my career in banking, I've been fortunate to work with many talented and dedicated people in our community who invest countless volunteer hours to enrich the lives of those less fortunate. The volunteers and chefs who make the 100 Men Who Cook a premier fundraising event are no exception! I'm honored to be a part of this year's event. My love of baking started in elementary school where I competed each year at the Delaware County 4-H Fair for that coveted blue ribbon in baking. Crescent rolls and cakes were my favorite to make. Although I still bake crescent rolls every Thanksgiving for my family, I've selected Red Velvet Cupcakes for 100 Men Who Cook. The recipe comes from a former colleague of mine and insurance agent with PCE Insurance Agency. Thank you, Cathy Crabtree!
I'm very excited for this year's event -- and completely thrilled that my sous chef is Tara Smalstig, Attorney/Partner with Dennis, Wenger & Abrell. Her tireless commitment to our community, as well as to her clients, family, friends, church and faith are inspiring. Thank you, Tara, for helping us raise funds for programming, services and activities for Champions for a Safe Community.

I am an attorney in Muncie that has a unique specialty of representing fireworks companies all over the US and the world. I have had the great experience of trying cuisine from lots of different places and regions. This is a great fundraiser and a lot of fun for everyone that cooks and attends. We have friends come from near and far to enjoy the food and the unique experience. Every year this event gets better and I get to try new and exciting recipes from my travels.
I came to Old national in December 2014 and have tried my best to support the Muncie community - I've worn six inch stilettos to support the women of the YWCA, worked and contributed financially to Habitat for Humanity and am key club contributor to United Way. My original name for my dish was to be "Luigi's Pasta." My wife and I were going to dress up - unfortunately, she did NOT love the idea. And quite frankly...I need her support. Thank you for your support - the salad will be great!

Really like kids and want to do whatever I can to help them along their path. I am excited about another 100 Men Who Cook and look forward to preparing another truckload of barbequed pork. Sure hope my allergies aren't bad on that day. Oh...and I graduated from Indiana Law School and have been practicing law here and around the state for 33 years.
